4. The characters that are introduced are the house servants, Poole, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Utterson, and Dr. Jekyll. Dr. Jekyll is described as a man of darkness.

5. The setting is inside Dr. Jekyll's house next to his laboratory, and also a place somewhat like the living room.

6. Mr. Hyde is very dark, and is on the ground wearing Dr. Jekyll's clothes. It is thought to be a little too big for Mr. Hyde.

7. The people are shocked and try to question why Mr. Hyde would be inside Dr. Jekyll's laboratory. Mr. Utterson is shocked at Mr. Hyde and believe that he killed Dr. Jekyll.
